Challenging myself to make animations worth watching. I like to be versatile when it comes to making animations. Like a lone wolf (I plan to grow out of this one day). I'll keep working hard to become a professional at making animations.

Animations before GBNF

Posted by Mrcoleman - June 1st, 2014

I still don't think I'm ready to work on "Gone But Not Forgotten". I decided to animate three different animations that focus on different situations. I want "Gone But Not Forgotten" to be done right so I want to work on my animation skills until I'm satisfied with my progress. I wasn't able to show everything I've learned since "Recap" in "My Purpose". Looking at it now, it feels a bit rushed and empty. I'll be able to take my time on my next animations and two of the three will be action-oriented. Something I missed doing, haha. Hopefully I'll be able improve as much as I want during this time so I can really make a some-what high quality animation with a lot of frame-by-frame scenes. So that's my goal in 2014, thanks for reading, peace.

Sometimes I think it's a good idea to practice on the basic principles, since everything in animation/drawing/programming/music comes down to them.

Ha yeah, I agree. Practicing the basics is the first step. The next step is finding out what kind of story connects to the audience.
